Reset a User's MFA Secret

Required security profile permissions: Users Edit

If a user whose security profile requires multi-factor authentication (MFA) on login loses their device or MFA secret, you must clear the secret so the user can set up a new one.

As a best practice, it is recommended that you do not enable MFA for the master administrator in your organization. If the device or secret is lost, the only way to reset the MFA secret is to file a ticket with NICE inContact.

  1. Click AdminUsersUsers.

  2. Locate the user profile you want to modify. Click the user profile to open it.

  3. Click Clear MFA Secret.
