Windows Server Operating Systems

NICE inContact supports Windows Server 2012 and later. Servers are most commonly used with the NICE inContact software for DB Connector for database access, API integration with ACD APIs, and automated FTP functions.

*This does not currently apply to WFM Enterprise.

Linux and other Operating systems

For customers using other operating systems such as Linux or Unix for servers, we have provided recommendations for the three most common Linux operating systems.

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux – RHEL 6.5 and later
  • CentOS – Version 6.5 and later
  • SUSE Linux Enterprise – Version 12 and later

However, there are a large number of other variants. The general guideline is to make sure that any version of operating system used can support the newer stronger encryption protocols and TLS 1.1 and 1.2. The use of any deprecated operating system will not be able to support the newer stronger encryption standards.
