Address Book Contacts Tab: Add New Entries from File Information Fields

When you upload an Excel or text file to add contacts to an address book, you must provide certain information about the file, including the file type and whether the file includes headers over the columns.

Select File
Click Choose File to select the file you want to upload. The file must be a comma-delimited .txt or .csv file, a tab-delimited .txt file, or an Excel spreadsheet .csv or .xlsx file.
File Type
Specifies whether the file you are uploading is Text-Comma Delimited (.txt or .csv), Text-Tab Delimited (.txt), or Excel (.xlsx).
Header Row?
Indicates whether the file includes a row marking column headers. Possible values are Yes or No.
Allow Duplicates
Specifies whether the platform should create a new entry for contacts that already exist in the address book. Possible values are Yes or No.
