Set File Storage Rules

Required security profile permissions: File Storage Edit

  1. Click AdminFiles & FoldersFile Storage.
  2. Click Edit to change the current settings.
  3. For Active Storage of Call Recordings, select an Action from the drop-down: Archive, Delete, Keep, or Move to Secure External Access. The default value is Keep.
  4. For Active Storage, type the number of days to apply to the action in the After (# of Days) field. This field is view-only if you selected Keep in the previous step.
  5. (OPTIONAL) Select the checkbox for Copy to Secure External Access if you want a copy of the recordings to move to your own storage location. This copy is in addition to the actions you just configured. This option is disabled if you chose Move to Secure External Access as the action.

    The time when a file is copied to external access must be less than or equal to the amount of time it is in active storage.

  6. Repeat the previous three steps for Active Storage of Screen Recordings, if applicable.
  7. For Long-Term Storage of Call Recordings, select an Action from the drop-down: Delete or Keep. The default value is Keep.
  8. For Long-Term Storage of Call Recordings, type the number of days to apply to the action in the After (# of Days) field. This field is view-only if you selected Keep in the previous step.
  9. Repeat the previous three steps for Long-Term Storage of Screen Recordings, if applicable.
  10. Click Done to apply and save your storage settings. Settings apply to files from that point on and are not retroactive (that is, changes do not affect recordings made previously).
