- ONHOLD is an event.
- Without an ONHOLD event, the caller would hear silence if they are placed on hold (and will most likely hang up).
- The most common use for ONHOLD is to play music.
- Other actions most commonly connected to ONHOLD include PLAY, PLAYLOG, and MENU.
Phone Script Example Using ONHOLD
In this script, you'll notice that ONHOLD is not connected to the main script, making it a standalone event. In this script, if a call is placed on hold, music will play until the call is taken off hold.
