The supervisor panel, available only in Thin Agent, displays a list of agents you are allowed to see who are actively engaged in calls. It allows you to monitor those agents' current calls and to become involved. You can enter the call so only the agent can hear you, so both the agent and contact can hear you, or you can take over the call completely.
The supervisor tool in Thin Agent has some of the same functionality as the Supervisor application. You cannot use the Thin Agent supervisor tool and the Supervisor application simultaneously.
