- Type
- The type of message template you want to create.
- Name
- The unique name of the message template. Make this name descriptive so you can find it easily in the message template table.
- Subject
- Available and required for Email Type only. The text that appears in the email subject line when the contact receives the message. This field has a maximum length of 200 characters.
- CC
- Available for Email Type only. The email addresses of any recipients you would like to receive a copy of the email when you send it. These email addresses appear inside the email and will be visible to all recipients. This field has a maximum width of 200 characters.
- BCC
- Available for Email Type only. The email addresses of any recipients you would like to receive a copy of the email when you send it. These email addresses do not appear inside the email, so no recipient can see the addresses. This field has a maximum width of 200 characters.
- From
- Available for Email Type only. The email address you want to appear in the from line of the email message. This is where contacts' messages go if they decide to reply. This field has a maximum width of 200 characters.
- Use HTML
- Available for Email Type only. If selected, you can use HTML tags in the Message Body. The email message will render as styled output according to the tags you apply.
- Message Body
- The content of the message. You can include information from the calling list, such as the contact's name, by typing the name of the calling list data inside curly brackets. The variable must match the system variable name or the name of the custom field you created and to which you mapped a calling list column. For example, your message could say "Hi, {FirstName}! This is a reminder that your payment is due soon." Your contacts would receive text messages that address them by name.
